बच्चों को हुनरमंद बनाने की बात हो या फिर महिलाओं को रोजगार देने की बात। वाराणसी की डॉक्टर शारदा सिंह और दूसरी लक्ष्मी सिंह ये काम जनपद में बखूबी कर रही हैं। योगी सरकार की ‘मिशन शक्ति’ मुहिम को बढ़ावा देते हुए डॉ शारदा सिंह ने दूसरों के घरों में काम करने वाली गरीब परिवार की महिलाओं को इकठ्ठा कर उनको जूट उत्पादों को बनाने की ट्रेनिंग दे रही हैं। लक्ष्मी व शारदा ने बनारस की महिलाओं और बेटियों को स्वावलंबी बनाकर समाज के समक्ष नजीर पेश की है।
महिलाएं बना रही डिजाइनर उत्पाद
ये महिलाएं जूट से बने डिजाइनर ज्वैलरी बैग, गिफ़्ट पाउच, लैपटॉप बैग, हैंड बैग समेत अन्य उत्पादों को बना रही हैं। महिलाओं द्वारा तैयार उत्पादों को बाजारों में भी बेचा जा रहा है। लक्ष्मी सिंह ने बताया कि जुलाई में शुरू किए इस काम से आज लगभग 200 महिलाएं व बेटियों को जोड़कर उनको रोजगार की मुख्यधारा से जोड़ा है। उन्होंने बताया कि जो महिलाएं व बेटियां सेंटर पर नहीं आ पाती हैं। उनको घरों में ही कच्चा माल उपलब्ध करा कर काम करने के लिए प्रेरित किया जा रहा है। ये महिलाएं एक महीने में करीब दो सौ झोले का उत्पादन करने लगी हैं।
दूसरे राज्यों की सामग्री से तैयार किए जा रहे उत्पाद
महिलाओं द्वारा तैयार किए जा रहे इन उत्पादों के जिए कच्चा माल दूसरे राज्यों से मंगाकर इको फ्रेंडली बैग तैयार किए जा रहे हैं। इन बैग के कारण अब पॉलिथिन बैगों का प्रयोग कम हो गया है। इन उत्पादों को तैयार करने में आसाम की केन या बेत, वेस्ट बंगाल, गुजरात, पानीपत व बनारसी जूट का प्रयोग किया जा रहा है। डॉ शारदा ने बताया कि लघु व हैडिक्राफ्ट उद्योग को एक ओर इस काम से बढ़ावा मिल रहा है वहीं वोकल फॉर लोकल और प्लास्टिक मुक्त भारत का सपना भी साकार हो रहा है।
